In case you missed our big news, we’ve hired an associate photographer! Our Goodie & Smith Weddings team is expanding (you can read all about everyone here!), and we’re thrilled to be able to better serve our incredible couples because of our team. Now that we have our associate photographer on the team (Hi, Ashton!), we thought it might be time to explain exactly WHAT this all means!
What is an associate photographer?
Essentially, an associate photographer is a photographer that’s on our team. These photographers are trained to our standards, which is important to us! They’re strong photographers, and have experience already working in the field. Their main role is to help us expand who we can serve. With a bigger staff, we have more teams available on every date. Unlike a second shooter who is working with us to capture a secondary angle of your day, an associate photographer is the lead on their own weddings through our studio.
How do I book your associate photographer?
Depending on your price point and date, our associate may be the best fit for you! Having an associate photographer allows us to meet and work with a wider variety of price points, which we love! Again, our team photographers are trained to our standards, so you’re still getting an amazing quality and product from our team. Everything else about your process will remain the same. As a Goodie and Smith Weddings couple, you’ll still hear from our studio and we’ll help you plan your dream wedding. Our team photographers often allow couples with a lower budget to still work with a luxury wedding photography studio, like ours.
The bottom line is an associate photographer is just one more amazing team member here at our studio. They’re on our team so we can serve more couples (and their budgets) while still providing a luxury full-service studio experience. We are so excited by this opportunity and hope you love our associate, Ashton, as much as we do! If you have more questions about our associate, don’t hesitate to ask! We love hearing from you.
