The Wharf Engagement Session
Meet Shelby and Jake! These two really are something special! It’s no surprise we had a great time at their Wharf engagement session. How could we not? A gorgeous couple, time on The Wharf and on the beach, plus a visit from their dogs? It was a dream engagement session!
We met Shelby while we were photographing one of our 2019 weddings so we were honored when she asked me to capture her and Jake’s engagement session here in the Gulf Shores and their Point Clear wedding. While we were chatting at their engagement session, we found out they’ll be getting married in the same venue Toni used for her own wedding: Saint Francis at the Point in Point Clear, AL! How crazy!! If their wedding is anything like their engagement photos, we know it’s going to be a simply stunning day.
Planning the Engagement Session
When we started planning their enagement session, we asked Shelby and Jake to think about where they might want to take photos. We always encourage our clients to think about locations that are meaningful to them. Since Jake is a lifeguard and fireman, the beach was a perfect spot for them. Oh… and by the way, Shelby’s a nurse. They’re seriously such incredible people!!!
Anyway, we started off at the Wharf and Shelby wore the most gorgeous red dress. It popped just the right way against all of the light colors along the wharf. After spending some time there, we decided to head to the beach. The fun white dress Shelby wore was super beachy and super cute! We love her sense of fashion!!! Shelby and Jason had a wonderful time – laughing and joking around. It’s clear how much they enjoy just being together. We had a great time just walking along the beach and enjoying the salty air.
Shelby and Jake, thank you for trusting us to capture these special moments for you! Your engagement session was a blast and we truly can’t wait until your October wedding day!
