Shelby and Jake are married!! We met Shelby through another wedding we did and are SO happy she and Jake are married now! After the year 2020 has been, we weren’t sure it would happen… but it finally did! Seeing them both together to capture these Heron Pointe at the Wharf wedding photos was a HUGE sigh of relief. Shelby and Jake had truly been through the wringer for their special day. Originally, they planned their wedding and were forced to scale back to meet requirements.
After that, they moved the event to a family home… that was then damaged in Hurricane Sally. At that point, there wasn’t much time to plan another event before their honeymoon. So, they went on their honeymoon to Key Largo and got married there! When they came home, we celebrated with them at the Heron Pointe at the Wharf, capturing these beautiful wedding portraits! Although it was a bit unconventional, it was a GREAT time for everyone involved!
Heron Pointe at the Wharf Wedding
Despite everything, Shelby and Jake truly made the best of their situation. When they reached out asking if we’d capture some special portraits for them after their honeymoon, we were so excited. We met them to capture a first look together, family portraits, and romantic southern newlywed portraits. The Heron Pointe at the Wharf was already decorated for the holidays and the wreaths were just gorgeous, bringing a truly romantic winter vibe to their portraits.
Heron Pointe is located right on the edge of the water in Orange Beach, so it gave everything a truly elegant southern feeling. Watching Shelby and Jake celebrate with their loved ones was so special to us. At the end of the day, no matter what a wedding day looks like, the love that’s shared is the most important part. Congratulations, Shelby and Jake! We’re so happy you could get married and we could document these beautiful moments for you!
