The Wedding of a Lifetime Bridal show hosted by Francia’s Formal Affair at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama offers an opportunity for brides to receive raffle gifts from vendors. We submitted a gorgeous frame with a complimentary engagement session. Thanks to this raffle, we had the honor of photographing Madison and Dillan. The meeting…
We met at Coffee Loft right before their engagement session to chat and get to know each other. Madison and Dillan met in high school at Mary G Montgomery. They starting dating after they finished high school. Madison is finishing up college next year and they will get married next fall.
Dillan planned a romantic evening at Dauphin’s for their anniversary and decided to propose. He booked the chef’s table and also invited their parents. As they were describing each moment of the evening that led to proposal, we were giggling. The story of that night is adorable and romantic. They will definitely be telling the story to their grandchildren one day.
Mobile Bay Engagement Session
We had originally planned to shoot the session earlier in the week but typical July Mobile weather prevented that. And boy were we glad, Friday evening was gorgeous and the weather did not disappoint.
We have shot several session at the Fairhope Park by the bay but we decided we wanted to find a few new mini locations in this one spot. We started at the Cypress trees just north of the duck pond. The greenery on the ground and the leaves of the trees provided the best backdrop for our first location. Madison and Dillan were so natural to pose. You can tell by the way Dillan caresses his future wife’s face how much he loves her. On the way to the next spot, we had to stop at the famous duck pond.
The next spot we chose wasn’t far. That is just one of the many reasons that we love this location. There is a smaller more private beach that love to shoot at. It is right next a super old pine tree with bare roots. All of these locations helped highlight Madison & Dillan and their relationship.

Engagement sessions are so important to us, they give us an opportunity to get our couples in front of the camera without the stress of a wedding day. They allow us the opportunity to capture them just being themselves and for us to get comfortable with each other. Our favorite moments are catching the way they gaze into each others eye, hold hands, and the small ways that they show affection to display their love for each other.
