Whitney and Luke had the most gorgeous summer wedding day at St. Francis at the Point and Little Point Clear. We were so excited to be a part of such a special day celebrating two wonderful people! Their wedding day had been moved from April 4th and we were all definitely ready to watch Whitney and Luke tie the knot. Whitney and Luke planned this gorgeous Fairhope AL destination wedding from Louisiana. Honestly, we’re SO happy they decided to have their wedding day here!
Fairhope AL Destination Wedding
We started the day off in downtown Fairhope at the cutest little lofts across the street from Soul Bowlz! They were just perfect for all of the getting ready images we love so much. Once hair and makeup was all done, we all headed over to St. Francis on the Point for Whitney to finish getting ready! If you know us, you know that St. Francis is one of our FAVORITE Fairhope AL wedding chapels! Whitney chose to finish getting ready in their parlor – it’s got such an elegant, Southern feel to it. Afterwards, it was time for a first look with her dad. While first looks with the grooms are definitely our favorite, time to see dad might be the second best moment of pre-wedding excitement!
Whitney and Luke decided to have a first look together before their St. Francis ceremony. And it was absolutely PERFECT (well, minus being super hot!). As soon as Luke saw Whitney, he couldn’t stop smiling. Lots of hugs and kisses… everything a first look should be. After their first look, we began to shoot some bride and groom portraits. Honestly, we never turn down a chance for these at all on a wedding day. We want our couples to have as much variety as possible when all is said and done. One of the best parts about a first look? Being able to capture some family portraits before the ceremony!!! Whitney and Luke have a large family, but we managed to get them done in time to get Whitney hidden before the ceremony! It was so great to meet everyone and realize just how supported these two are.
St. Francis at the Point Ceremony
St. Francis is one of the most classic churches in our area. With large giant windows, it’s PERFECT for a classic Fairhope wedding. When you plan a destination wedding in Fairhope, definitely consider St. Francis for that Southern feel!! Their ceremony was beautiful! Whitney laughed and tried not to cry- Luke tried harder not to cry! But, the minister had EVERYBODY crying. Truly, he had the sweetest things to say to and about Whitney and Luke before they took communion. Seriously, these are the moments on wedding days that get us – the reason behind a marriage, the moments and reminders of what marriage is all about.
Little Point Clear Reception
After their sweet ceremony, Whitney and Luke had the Old Shell Trolley take everyone to one of our favorite Fairhope AL wedding reception locations, Little Point Clear!!! While the guests were being taken over, we stole Whitney and Luke away for some “just married” portraits. These are some of our favorite moments of the day. With lots of gorgeous light around us, there wasn’t a bad photo to be found. The newlyweds were thrilled – and we just loved being there with them.
Before long, it was time to take them over to Little Point Clear. Upon arrival, Whitney was given the biggest hugs by her flower girls! Honestly, it was SO cute. Just wait until you see the photo of them helping her into the reception!! The rest of the night flew by. Whitney and Luke’s first dance was beautiful. We always love when our couples go for the big dip while dancing!! With lots of prayers for good luck and a wonderful marriage, everyone was happy to be celebrating. And celebrate, they did. With Karl Langley keeping the floor packed, all of their guests had a great time. As the night wound down, it was almost time to say goodbye to Whitney and Luke. To say goodbye, they had a fun bubble exit to end their wedding day. It was just perfect!!!
