Catherine and Justin tied the knot this March in a beautiful and elegant Eastern Shore Art Center wedding in Fairhope, AL! Their day was a perfect combination of all of the special things that make their relationship and love story unique! We got to really know Catherine and Justin for their engagement session after Justin won a portrait session with us, but Catherine has actually known Toni’s husband since they were kids! So being able to celebrate with these two and capture their wedding day was even more special for us because of that. Catherine and Justin met after connecting online and had their first date in Fairhope, AL. Since they now own a home here and Catherine grew up in the area, it made sense to have their wedding here as well. They truly couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful venue for their wedding.
Fairhope Alabama Wedding Inspiration
Catherine and her bridesmaids kicked off the day by getting ready in their matching robs and with mimosas in the Eastern Shore Art Center. They opted for mismatched bridesmaids gowns and we personally love how they all came together! After the girls were all ready, Catherine got into her beautiful lace wedding gown with her family. Her bridesmaids got the chance to see her full bridal look later!
The bride and groom opted to exchange notes before their first look and it was so sweet to be able to watch them read their notes to each other. After reading the letters, we captured Catherine and her father’s first look in the church. It was such a sweet moment between Catherine and her dad. We love that they decided to do a first look. Catherine and Justin’s first look followed after. It was so clear in that moment how ready these two were to marry each other. Finally, before the ceremony, Catherine’s bridesmaids got to see her in her wedding gown! Their reaction was so sweet!! Everyone needs girlfriends like that!
Trinity Presbyterian Church Wedding Ceremony
Their wedding ceremony was held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Their ceremony was sweet and simple, but special – including when Justin lit a candle for his late mother. Afterwards, we headed out on the Church grounds to capture the bridal party. The grounds actually overlook the Mobile Bay, so it was the perfect spot for some portraits! Everyone was ready to jump on The Cheese Wagon after the portraits and head to the reception! The entire bridal party definitely enjoyed a chance to relax and take a few rides around before heading into the reception.
Eastern Shore Art Center Wedding Day
Catherine and Justin’s reception was where all of their special details really shone! Since they had their first date at Shux on the Pier, they made sure to serve oysters during the reception! They also gave out Mardi Gras cups as favors, an ode to when Justin proposed to Catherine. Catherine and Justin decided to have a live band for their reception, and the dance floor was definitely full as the band played away. When the night came to an end, the newlyweds were ushered off into married life by a sparkler exit!
Catherine and Justin, thank you for asking us to be a part of your beautiful wedding day the Eastern Shore Art Center! It was special from start to finish and we’re so happy we could be there to celebrate with you!
A special thanks to the vendors who made their day so incredible!
