Engagement sessions are essential to creating amazing wedding day portraits. They are the perfect way to get to know your photographer. By the end of an engagement session, you will be a pro and completely relaxed in front of the camera. This beautiful downtown Fairhope engagement session was no exception! Bonnie & David started off a little shy in front of the camera! By the end of our walk around downtown Fairhope, they were posing themselves!
A Downtown Fairhope Engagement Session | Bonnie & David
Their engagement session took place around downtown, here in Fairhope Alabama. We started at our favorite portrait location, Coastal Community College. The main building has a classic southern front porch. It is located on the corner of Bancroft and Fairhope Ave. It’s the perfect lighting for a traditional portrait setting. We walked around town and stopped at a few random locations along the way. We made our way down De La Mare and used some of our favorite spots down that street. These include the Italian Downtown‘s Alley way, the white picket fence next to the historic Church Street Inn, and a quick stop in from of The Fairhope Store. David’s only request for the session was to take a photo in front of the famous mural wall. He wanted to preserve what the town looks like for their daughter.
Bonnie is gorgeous! She wore a cute off the shoulder dress. It’s blue with a pattern of blush pink flowers. David looked like a classic southern gentleman. He wore a green long sleeve polo top with khaki pants. Their daughter joined us at the end for a mini family session. She had on the cutest house divided shirt. Bonnie is an Alabama fan and David is an LSU fan. They even played tug-o-war with her. We will see who wins her this year on November 9th.
Their engagement session was perfect! The afternoon started out overcast. We had free roam of the town. Towards the end, the sun peeped out and gave us this perfect little glow to wrap up their downtown Fairhope Engagement Session. We are beyond excited for their wedding next April at Izenstone in Spanish Fort, AL.
