A Christ the King & Fairhope Yacht Club Wedding

When Cady’s mom asked me to photograph their wedding, I was super excited about the Christ the King & Fairhope Yacht Club wedding. Cady’s mother, Joline, and I have worked together the past few years on a project for The Haven, The Mystic Mutts of Revelry. The wedding invitation suite was designed by a friend of mine and Joline’s that also helps with the MMOR project. Brittany Chandler with Bay Paperie did a fantastic job on the stunning stationery.
With Cady being out of town, we scheduled a few telephone calls to get to know each other. I really enjoyed learning about Cady and Andrew. Cady graduated from medical school at the University of South Alabama. She is in her residency at a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Andrew is a teacher. They met and hit it off immediately!

Cady wore a bridal gown designed by Justin Alexander from Bliss Bridal in Fairhope, Alabama. The stunning dress has a sweetheart neckline and a dreamy mermaid silhouette. The bodice is made of lace with a tulle skirt. Her bridesmaid wore dusty rose, chiffon dresses with a scoop neck.
The groom had a custom tailored blue suit from Men’s Warehouse. His groomsmen wore a slightly darker blue suits from Men’s Warehouse in Mobile, Alabama.
All week the weather the was predicted to rain all day for their wedding. We got incredibly lucky and the only time is rained was during the ceremony. The bridal party dressed at the Hampton Inn in the Downtown Fairhope, Alabama. They then hopped on a trolley arranged by Joy at the Hampton Inn and road to Christ the King in Daphne for the Ceremony. The cathedral is stunning and the architecture adds so much for the aesthetics of a ceremony. Their ceremony was traditional and perfect. Father performed a full Catholic Mass.
Afterwards, Cady & Andrew’s guest joined them at the Fairhope Yacht Club for their reception. The cake was a traditional 4 tiered cake from the Sugar House in Fairhope with more of Southern Veranda’s stunning florals on each layer. Between the delicious food from The Fairhope Yacht Club and the fun music from the band the entire wedding party had a blast celebrating Cady & Andrew!
From the time that we arrived to the end of the day, everything fell together perfectly. The wedding party had fun while getting ready. The ceremony was beautiful and the sparkler exit perfect. This Christ the King & Fairhope Yacht Club Wedding was stunning in every way!
